Following the updated mandate from the European Commission, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) will prepare a REACH restriction proposal on Chromium (VI) substances including entries 16 to 22 and 28 to 31. This could also cover any substances not listed on the Authorisation List.
Given the wider scope of the REACH restriction proposal, the deadline for ECHA to submit the proposal is now 11 April 2025, instead of the original date 4 October 2024.
