RPA report contributes to Royal Society of Chemistry’s request for a UK Chemicals Agency

RPA are proud to have assisted the RSC in their study exploring the case for a national Chemicals Agency. The UK is a critically important contributor to the chemicals, aerospace, pharmaceutical, energy, industrial manufacturing and several other important industries that add value to society and support jobs and economic growth.

The RSC report sets out immediate actions and how a national Chemicals Agency would help to:

  • Drive innovation and economic growth by giving businesses and researchers clarity over what is required of them, adapting promptly to new developments in testing and risk mitigation, and facilitating international trade agreements
  • Deliver taxpayer value for money by maximising coordination across government
  • Continue to protect human and environmental health
