Jacinta Cairns

Jacinta joined RPA in November 2023 as a consultant in the chemicals team. She holds a PG Cert in Bioscience from the University of Leeds and BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from Leeds Beckett University. Prior to working at RPA, she worked for over a year at the UK Health and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as a Regulatory Scientist in a role where she had several responsibilities, these included Authorisation case team secretariat, a role reviewing Analysis of Alternatives and the feasibility of Substitution Plans for applications for authorisation in order to contribute to Agencies opinions, reviewing process-oriented research and development (PPORD)dossiers, REACH registration dossier compliance checks and answer queries on a UK REACH/GB CLP helpdesk. Prior to joining the HSE, she also had over two years’ experience of working in a laboratory environment. This was testing a variety of different environment first as a technician, scientist, analyst and eventually working in a quality assurance role.

Outside of work, Jacinta enjoys going to historical sites, walking her dog and playing video games.
