Chau-Man Fung

Chau-Man joined RPA in 2024 as a senior consultant. She holds a PhD and Master’s degree in economics from KU Leuven (Belgium) and Bachelor degree in economics from the University of Hong Kong.

Prior to joining RPA, Chau-Man was an economic analyst on the UK REACH team at Health & Safety Executive (HSE). At HSE, she led the evaluation of the socioeconomic analysis in numerous authorisation applications and reviewed impact assessments of restriction dossiers under UK REACH. She has also worked on various projects examining the evidence base for chemicals regulations, including valuing environmental and health impacts from chemicals pollution.

Chau Man’s previous work as an academic researcher includes demand modelling and analysing large transport datasets to compare the impacts of combinations of transport policies such as transport subsidies, optimal supply, time-varying tolls and allocation of lanes, and using bike-sharing data to examine the effect of subway closure on bike-sharing trips.

Chau-Man grew up in Hong Kong and has studied and worked in Belgium. She has lived in the UK since 2019.
