Senior/Principal Consultant: Chemical Safety Assessment/Toxicologist/Ecotoxicologist

We are looking to add further experience to our team to support our services in REACH authorisation, chemical regulatory advice and chemical policy development for the UK and EU.

Over the past 33 years, we have innovatively and proudly pushed forward the boundaries of how impact assessments and evaluations, as well as broader policy analyses, are carried out across a range of different fields. Our work has often been used as examples of best practice. Our clients come to us for innovative approaches, creative thinking and critical analysis.
We are currently looking to reinforce our chemicals area for UK and EU REACH clients and are looking to recruit a senior/principal consultant with experience of chemical safety assessment, including writing chemical safety reports under REACH.
Requirements:
- Regulatory toxicologist or ecotoxicologist
- Experience in the preparation of chemical safety assessments (CSA) and the authoring of chemical safety reports (CSR) and exposure scenarios (ES)
- Experience of supporting applications for authorisation under the REACH Regulation
- Experience in the evaluation of measured data and the modelling of exposure using suitable software
- Experience of software for Tier 1 assessments of the environment workplace and general population (such as ECETOC TRA, EUSES or CHESAR)
Desirable:
- Experience of other more specialised software, for example for tier 2 assessments, or assessment of dermal exposure, as well as IUCLID/REACH IT.
Salary and benefits
RPA operates a transparent pay policy and pay is based on relevant experience. The Senior consultant level starts at £35,500 and the Principal consultant level starts at £50,000.
